For the past 70 years or so we’ve been advised to use Vitamin B-1 as an aid to successful transplanting. It is often said that B-1, by itself or in combination with certain nutrients promotes root re-generation. The research to prove or disprove this theory was never done until about 20 years ago. Studies conducted at various agricultural colleges over the years have consistently shown that B-1 has no effect with regard to transplant success.
